My work
I routinely advise on professional neglignece claims against solicitors, other barristers, doctors, accountants, insurance brokers and insolvency practitioners. I also have a substantial wills, probate and property practice. Therefore, I am well equpped to advise on claims against professionals involving properties and estates.
Quite often, in order to make a claim you may need to obtain further documents such as the file of papers from your previous advisor, or for example other records such as banking documents. I can assist you to make applications for disclosure to the court, or using data protection legislation, so you can get a better idea of the merits of your case.
Some of the recent cases I have worked on include:
SS v HP QB-2020-002502 - Instructed in respect of a professional negligence claim against an immigration advisor.
Din v Aslam PT-2019-0008843 - Instructed in respect of a claim for delivery up of estate assets from a personal represenatative who had breached her duties, where a freezing order was also granted due to a risk of dissipation with the Defendant being in a foreign jurisdiction.
NF v SF - Currently instructed on a claim for an equitable interest in a property, where there was a verbal agreement between a mother and son for the beneficial interest in the property to pass to the son if he paid off the mortgage.
SK V HM - GPT-2020-000663 - Instructed in respect of an estate worth over £10 million, with a challenge to the validity of 4 wills due to concerns of undue influence.
About me
I have a pro-active hands-on approach and can help you see matters through right from the begining to the end. I can advise and assist on the pre-action stages of a claim, all the way through to trial, as well as dealing with consequential matters such as enforcement and costs challenges. I offer pragmatic solutions and where appropriate will advise on and attend alternative forms of dispute resolution such as mediation.
