Supreme Court launches online video archive
Anyone wanting to watch hearings held in the Supreme Court, the UK’s highest court, will be able to do so online the next working day, it has been announced. The Supreme Court president, Lord Neuberger, said, “Now justice can be seen to be done at a time which suits you. The archive will help people see the background to decisions made in our highest appeal court.”
Once judgment is delivered in a case, the footage of the judges’ summary in court will be published alongside the full judgment text and press summary.
The Supreme Court currently has a live streaming service, launched in October 2014.
