Appealing HMRC’s refusal of UK Value Added Tax (VAT) eligible body clearance,

Advising HMRC on New Zealand trust law affecting IHT upon a lifetime transfer,

Advising on probable outcomes of disputes based on briefs of facts and analysis of precedents,

Numerous enforcement proceedings including bankruptcy, winding up, oral examination, garnishee, attachment, writs of fieri facias, charging order, order for possession, order for sale, interpleader and registration in foreign jurisdictions.

My approach

As a direct access private practitioner, and former solicitor, I am accustomed to dealing with lay clients directly, gathering and assembling relevant evidence and documents and dealing with solicitors and courts in preparation for hearings or negotiations
