My approach
If you instruct me, I can offer you straightforward advice, an in-depth knowledge of Immigration Law, and competitive fees. I am more than happy to have a free phone call with you before you formally instruct me so I can see if I am able to help you. After this, we can arrange a meeting to take place either in person in central London, or by video, where we can go through your case in detail.
My work
Prior to working at Imperium, Kim worked as a paralegal for a sole-practising barrister specialising in immigration, family, and civil law. He has also worked for criminal law solicitors, regularly attending the magistrates and Crown Courts on a range of summary, either-way, and indictable only offences. He has also used his legal knowledge to work as Company Secretary for an international supplier based in London.
Kim has represented clients at the First-tier Tribunal on social security matters for the Free Representation Unit (FRU), and volunteered at The University of Law’s Legal Advice Centre on immigration bail matters.
Kim hopes to specialise in immigration whilst continuing to experience all other aspects of chambers’ work.
About me
Kim joined Imperium Chambers as a tenant in June 2023 following the successful completion of his pupillage under the supervision of Paul Turner.
He has developed a broad range of experiences in all aspects of immigration law. He regularly attends the First-tier and Upper Tribunal on behalf of Appellants in respect of appeals, Judicial Reviews, and bail applications.
Kim is also regularly instructed to represent the Home Office in the First-tier Tribunal and has worked on large, complex cases involving Appellants from all over the world. This has given him not only extensive advocacy experience, but also gives him a unique insight into how the Home Office approach cases. He is therefore able to predict and deal with weaknesses in a case before they get to court.
Kim is also developing a civil, public, and family practice, and is more than happy to accept instructions on new matters.
Kim is licensed to accept instructions from clients under the “public access” scheme – meaning that you are able to instruct him without the need to go to a solicitor.

I have worked at Imperium Chambers since 2021, initially as a paralegal. The vast majority of Paul Turner’s work is with direct access clients, so I have built up extensive experience in this area. I have prepared hundreds of applications and appeals for clients directly, and know the sorts of stresses and pressures people go through when trying to regularise their stay in the UK. Prior to working at Imperium, I worked as a paralegal for a sole-practising barrister specialising in immigration, family, and civil law.
