John Sheng

John joined Chambers as a tenant after successfully completing his pupillage under the supervision of Nazar Mohammad. John read law at Cardiff University and graduated with First Class Honours in LLB Law. He went on to complete his Barrister Training Course with Distinction. John has a broad civil and commercial practice. His core practice areas include personal injury, negligence, tort, landlord and tenant, housing disrepair, commercial, common law, trusts and contract law. He regularly appears in County Court, acting for both the claimant and defendant in fast-track trials, small claims, stage 3 hearings, disposal hearings, possession hearings and interim applications.

My approach

During his pupillage, he assisted with complex civil and family trials worth millions of pounds, so is well versed in all aspects of multi-track trials and civil and family procedures.

John’s other practice area includes employment law. John has extensive experience in dealing with claims of unfair dismissal and discrimination. John is regularly instructed to advise on liability and quantum and to draft pleadings in employment and personal injury matters.
