Jacqueline Victor-Mazeli

I am a barrister with more than 20 years of experience. I appear in Children Act matters and Family Law Act matters in the Family Courts. I have extensive experience acting on behalf of applicants and respondents in cases involving emergency injunctive relief and occupation orders. I also represent clients in a wide range of private law children cases from child arrangement orders, prohibited steps orders, specific issues orders, domestic abuse, parental alienation and in highly contentious disputes. I have represented parents in all stages of proceedings including complex multi-day fact-finding and final hearings.

I have a wealth of experience and accept privately funded instructions.

I am renowned for being an approachable advocate and for my meticulous preparation and tenacity in court.

My approach

Fees

I am committed to public access because I believe that very often the best interests of clients are served with careful attention and care from the outset and it’s also more affordable for the client.

My fees are very competitive and I am always happy to have an initial friendly and non-committal telephone conversation with you at no charge. That is so that I can see if I can help.

If you decide to instruct me I will arrange a consultation (called a conference) where we can meet online or in person. That will usually last between an hour and two hours. I will then be able to take your full instructions, offer you my advice and speak about the next steps that need to be taken - and hopefully put your mind at ease! I will also let you know what the likely costs of any action will be.

My fee for the conference is £250.

My Commitment

My career as a specialist barrister and my experience in alternative dispute resolution (ADR) mean that I bring a level of professionalism and maturity to all my clients. I fully understand just how important the case is for you. I fight hard for my clients but I am also aware of the bigger picture and possible alternatives and I will take time to ensure that I advise you of the most efficient, cost-effective and simple pathway to the outcome you want.

About me

I was joint head of chambers at 3 Bolt Court chambers from 2018 to 2024. Whilst head of chambers, I retained complete integrity and devotion to the service of my clients and fellow members of chambers. I am committed to facilitating access to justice.

In addition, I am an accredited civil and commercial mediator. I am also a trained conflict coach, and a community mediator. I regularly volunteer with the Society of Mediators Free Mediation Project providing free mediations to litigants at the Royal Courts of Justice. I have built strong links within my local community where I volunteer as a conflict coach and mediator.

I am a Middle Temple advocacy trainer, pupil supervisor and facilitator/trainer, and a Middle Temple mentor.
