I have much experience of insolvency matters, particularly of representing clients (whether petitioners or debtors) in the courts.
My experience includes:
- insolvency proceedings (including challenging statutory demands and petitions)
- beneficial ownership of assets (i.e. whether an asset really belongs to a person other than the bankrupt)
- challenging a trustee's decisions before the court
- bona vacantia to the Crown, and resurection of companies
I have particular experience of bankruptcy matters where HMRC are the main creditor or petitioner. This includes enforcement of foreign tax debts, and cases where HMRC are seeking to enforce a company's debt against a director or shareholder.

"Patrick is an outstanding legal professional. Highly recommended."
"Patrick did an excellent job with a fairly complex tax question. He helped me to understand first what I should be asking, and then second, answering my questions in a way that gave me confidence he had considered all of the possibilities and done a thorough job investigating them."
